Dracaena marginata, also known as red-edged dracaena, is a Madagascan dragon tree. This genus includes several species, almost all of which resemble palm trees. It is native to tropical West Africa and is cultivated in Africa and Asia. It is distinguished by its beautiful shape and hardiness. Its green leaves with purple edges reach a length of about 35 cm, more or less depending on the age of the plant and the quality of its care. They may reach a length of 180 cm or longer. It is sold with one or more growing tips (the top of the plant containing the leaves).
